Laparoscopic Liver Resection

This is a surgery done through small cuts in the belly to remove part of the liver. It is used to treat liver tumors, growths, or certain liver problems. The surgeon uses a tiny camera and special tools to do the operation.
Indications for Surgery:
Liver Tumors: Cancerous (like liver cancer or cancer that spread from another place) or non-cancerous (like hemangiomas or adenomas) growths in the liver.
Liver Disease: Some diseases that cause unusual growths in the liver that need to be removed.
Liver Injury: If the liver is hurt badly and part of it needs to be taken out.
Procedure:
Anesthesia: You’ll be asleep and won’t feel anything during the surgery.
Small Cuts: The surgeon makes 3 to 5 small cuts in your belly.
Camera Inserted: A tiny camera goes in to show the liver on a screen.
Liver Removal: The surgeon removes the part of the liver with the growth or damage. The liver is made of segments, and only the part that’s not healthy is taken out.
Stopping Bleeding: The surgeon carefully seals blood vessels to stop any bleeding.
Closing the Cuts: The small cuts are closed with stitches or surgical glue.

Smaller Cuts: Less pain, smaller scars, and faster healing.
Quicker Recovery: You can leave the hospital sooner and get back to normal faster.
Lower Risk of Infection: Small cuts mean there’s less chance of getting an infection.
